The turn-based strategy game Civilization 6 New Frontier Pass frequently updated its content from January 5, 2020.
The most recent civilization added in the end of last year was the scientifically advanced Babylon led by Hammurabi, followed by Maya, Gran Colombia, Ethiopia, Byzantium and Gaul. Recently, Firaxis Games announced the 5th DLC of the game that will add Vietnam to this list.
According to author Andrew Alan Johnson, Vietnamese civilization in the game will focus on elements of culture and terrain. Known for its dense forests and fertile wetlands, Vietnam is one of the healthiest cuisines in the world and a rich, innovative culture.
In the DLC Civilization 6 demo video, the developers also informed about a new type of County called Conservation that improves the value of surrounding cells. The second major addition to the January 28 release is Kublai Khan, nephew of Genghis Khan, where gamers can choose for both China and Mongolia. Main producer Amanda Bonacorso said Kublai Khan will create “new and unique” opportunities for both civilizations, but currently detailed information has not been specifically shared.
The update will also add a new game mode called “Monopolies and Corporations” in which gamers will win by capital hoarding by farming luxury resources (like Vietnamese coffee beans), producing the product and eventually cornering the stock exchanges, increasing gold production and attracting tourists. Then there’s one more DLC in Civilization 6 New Frontier Pass that will be released this March, so gamers will have to wait a while to see what amazing features will be added.
Civilization 6 is available on Linux, mobile, Nintendo Switch, PC, platforms PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
